The Banpo Bridge is a major bridge in downtown Seoul that connects the Seocho and Yongsan districts. The bridge is on top of the Jamsu Bridge, forming the upper half of a double-deck bridge and is the first double deck bridge built in South Korea. It is famous for its Rainbow Fountain which has the Guinness World Record for being the world's longest bridge fountain.
HOW TO GET THERE?
By Subway:
- Get off at Dongjak Station (Line 4) and Exit 1 or 2
- Get off at Express Bus Terminal Station (Line 3,7 or 9) and Exit 8-1.Go straight for 250m, and turn right at the Express Bus Terminal 4-way intersection. Continue going straight for 400m and cross the street at the crosswalk. Go straight through the underpass to arrive at the park.
By Bus:
Take Bus 405 or 8340 and get off at Banpo Hangang Park
**The Express Bus Terminal Station method is the most favored route by visitors
When I first saw the pictures, I thought this was the bridge at the Korean drama, City Hunter, but apparently, that was actually the "Road of Wind" on Mapo bridge near Yeouido Park (which is famous for its Cherry Blossoms in spring!). Both are bridges over the Han River in Seoul National Capital Area (together with 25 other bridges).

Nevertheless, seeing this magnificent scenery makes me want to try the Hangang River Cruise the next time I visit Seoul!
